Rifle:  On Saturday, July 25, 2020, at 0900, six rifle shooters met at our range to fire the regular weekly rifle match. The temperature was 69 and 90% humidity with clear sunny skies and no wind. It was 80 with 82% humidity with some clouds by the end. Course of fire is 10 shots slow fire prone, 10 shots rapid fire prone, 10 shots slow fire standing.

The following fired rifles that are used in the CMP (Civilian Marksmanship Program) course of fire and are in the medal score category:  High Score was Dave Spearing. He had a CMP bronze medal score. He fired a .30 cal. M1 Garand and scored 94-2X’s+83-1X+89=266-3X’s. Chuck Chernoff fired a .30-40 Krag, US M1898 and scored 95-2X’s+88 +65=248-2X’s. Mike Gentile fired a 6.5X52 M91 Italian Carcano and scored 62-1X+77-1X+49=188-2X’s.

The following fired other rifles with open sights:  High Score was Mark Walker, who fired a .30 cal. M1 Garand and scored 83+75+52=210.

The following fired other rifles with scopes:  High Score was David Cowan.  He fired a .308 cal. with a scope from the bench and scored 91-2X’s+93+87=271-2X’s. Chuck Cargile fired a .17 cal. Rimfire with a scope and scored 100-4X’s+98-1X=198-5X’s.

Rifle:  On Saturday, July. 11, 2020, at 0900, five rifle shooters met at our range to fire the regular weekly rifle match.  The temperature was 73 and 52% humidity with partly to mostly cloudy skies and a light breeze.  It was 89 with 75% humidity with light gray overcast skies by the end.  Course of fire is 10 shots slow fire prone, 10 shots rapid fire prone, 10 shots slow fire standing.
 
The following fired rifles that are used in the CMP (Civilian Marksmanship Program) course of fire and are in the medal score category:  High Score was Dave Spearing.  He had a CMP silver medal score. He fired a .308 cal. M1A and scored 98-4X’s+98-2X’s+83=279-6X’s.  Mike Gentile fired a .30 cal. M1 Garand and scored 89-4X’s+84+59-1X=232-5X’s.  Mark Walker fired a .30 cal. M1 Garand and scored 91+67+48=206.
 
The following fired other rifles with open sights:  High Score was Joe Dwyer.  He fired a .22 cal. Rimfire and scored 93-1X+96-2X’s+51=240-3X’s.  Chuck Chernoff fired a .22 Cal. Rimfire and scored 81+85 +70=236.

Rifle: On Saturday,July 18, 2020, at 0900, four rifle shooters met at our range to fire the regular weekly rifle match. The temperature was 70 and 86% humidity with bright sunny skies and no wind. It was 80 with 62% humidity by the end. Course of fire is 10 shots slow fire prone, 10 shots rapid fire prone, 10 shots slow fire standing.
                       
The following fired rifles that are used in the CMP (Civilian Marksmanship Program) course of fire and are in the medal score category:  High Score was Chuck Chernoff. He fired a .30 cal. M1 Garand and scored 93-2X’s+86+80-1X=259-3X’s. Dave Spearing fired an 8X57 M48 Yugo Mauser and scored 92-1X+94+73-1X=259-2X’s.

The following fired other rifles with open sights:  High Score was Mark Walker. He fired a .223 cal. and scored 92+97-3X’s+75=264-3X’s.

The following fired other rifles with scopes:High Score was Chuck Cargile. He fired a .17 cal. Rimfire with a scope and scored 99-3X’s+98+40=237-3X’s.
